Terms & Conditions FAQ

Payment

Payment can be made by card or bank transfer immediately following a treatment at the clinic. Any late payments will be subject to a £10 per week administration charge.

Arriving at the Clinic

As a courtesy to our clients we operate a prompt appointment schedule so please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment.
Late arrival may mean your treatment time is reduced, however, you will still be charged the full price of the treatment.
If you don’t arrive for your appointment without previously notifying the clinic, at least 12 hours beforehand, then you will still be charged the full amount of your treatment. This payment will need to be paid within 24hrs of the original appointment time, any time after this and standard admin fee will be applied.

First Appointment

Your first appointment will include an initial consultation and assessment, which may include a postural assessment, range of movement testing, muscle strength testing and test for ligament, tendon and cartilage damage. Due to this your treatment time during the first appointment may be shortened, however, assessment is important to be able to treat the cause as well as the symptoms.

Youth and Vulnerable Adults Policy

Any person under the age of 18 or who is classed as a vulnerable adult must be accompanied by an appropriate adult/chaperone who must be present in the clinical room at all times whilst the patient undergoes the consultation, assessment and treatments. This requirement is the same for any further follow up appointments.
The clinical staff will all have current and up to date enhanced DBS checks before they can work within the clinic.

Therapists Obligations

The therapist will use their skills and expertise in order to safely assess, diagnose and treat the injury, however, if this falls outside of their scope of practice you will then be referred to the most appropriate party whether this be your GP or nearest A&E department.
Any plans given to the patient will be provided within the scope of practice to make sure that the exercise prescription is safe and effective. The therapist will always help provide patients the best care and support for the client to reach their overall goal.

Lateness

If a patient is late to the session, then the session cannot be extended and will end at the appointed time, but this will still incur the full session fee.

Cancellation

12 hours notice of cancellation is required for all appointments. Any notice of less than 8 will incur a full payment of session fee
unless the cancellation is due to exceptional circumstances

Insurance

All clinical staff will hold the relevant public liability and professional indemnity or medical malpractice insurance which is required in order to work in the clinic.
All staff will have undertaken a minimum of a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Therapy which has been accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST).
